Aurora listens, writes and remembers on the phone in your hand, so the words stay with you — and stay yours. I built Aurora because the usual way to get notes from a conversation is to send the conversation away: uploaded, transcribed on someone else's server, handed back. I didn't want that trade for my own meetings, and I didn't want to ask anyone else to make it. So Aurora does the hearing, the writing and the summarizing on the phone itself, and when it isn't sure who spoke or what was decided, it says so instead of guessing. We won't tell you that nothing ever leaves your phone. Here is the short version; the [Privacy Notice](https://auroraisyours.com/privacy/) carries every path in full. ### Stays on the device - **The recording** — Captured and stored on the phone that heard it. Nothing sends it. - **Transcript and speakers** — Written and separated by models on the phone's own chip. - **Summaries, notes, Ask Aurora** — Generated by a language model on the device. - **Your library** — Lives in the app on that device. There is no Aurora account. ### Leaves only when you… - **Download the models** — Once at setup, and when a model changes. Wi-Fi unless you allow cellular. - **Send a diagnostic report** — Encrypted on the device. One switch decides whether it carries this conversation's content, and on a session report it starts on — turn it off and nothing of the conversation goes. - **Turn on iCloud sync** — Off by default, and settings only: never audio, never transcripts. - **Export a conversation** — Plain text, to the app or place you pick, and nowhere else. One thing moves on its own: a count of your remaining free minutes, kept in your own iCloud so a reinstall cannot reset it. It is a number, never words. ## Where it stands today. No. Transcription runs on your iPhone. You can separately choose to export a recording or include content in a diagnostic report. ### Which devices does it need? Aurora is built for iOS 18 and newer. The phone we measure on is an iPhone 15 Pro, and we have no tested-device table beyond it yet. The Mac app is not released. ### Does it join calls as a bot? No. Aurora listens through the microphone of the device you are holding, in the room or next to the laptop. ### What does the beta cost? Nothing. Pricing comes later, and testers hear about it first.
